2016 Parade of Champions, Lot #52: CCNF Adelia

CCNF Adelia is the second female that we have consigned to upcoming Parade of Champions sale! Sired by 2015 Futurity Herdsire of the Year, Snowmass Conopa’s Kahuna, Adelia is also a member of the famed PPeruvian Jesusa/CCNF Magdalena line on her mom’s side. In fact, I have to admit that one of the many reasons I was looking forward to marketing Adelia this spring, was that it would give me an excuse to dust off this lovely picture of her dam, CCNF Lilah (one of three Magdalena daughters we have retained in our foundation herd), winning the JC female at the Northeast Alpaca Expo with the help of our old friend, Pat Badger. It just makes me smile every time I see it. Oh, the things that an actual rock star can get away with! 😉

Like her cousin, Antebellum (POC Lot #4), one would be crazy to buy Adelia at the POC and not use her included future breeding with CCNF Elixir. Why? You need look no further than Adelia’s younger maternal sister, CCNF Delilah (who was sired by Elixir): the winner of 4 banners this spring, including the Judges’ Choice Female at the 2016 Mapaca Jubilee! Regardless, we do not let members of Adelia’s maternal line go very often and she represents a real opportunity to get in on the ground floor with some of the most exciting genetic crosses that our breeding program is currently producing!
