A Champion returns home

Cameron came home the other day after an extended stay at Emelise Alpacas in NJ with whom he is co owned. We were of course happy to see our black Futurity Champion though I have sneaky feeling his peers down at the Stud Barn may not feel the same way when we finally get around to reintegrating him there later today. Cam is many things though, alas, mellow has never really been one of them. He’s wound a little tighter than most. Were he human he’d probably be one of those poor buggers that would get diagnosed as suffering from ADHD before he even got out of kindergarten.

“If only we could take all of the molasses out of his pellets, I’m sure he’d calm right down! Please just give him a chance.” What’s that you say? Some alpacas don’t even need grain at all? We all know that every single championship ever won in this country was won because of the super duper balance of nutritional mojo found only in specialized alpaca pellets! No grain indeed. Heresy. Heresy, I say.
