CCNF Females at the 2019 Parade of Champions Auction!

We are so grateful to Lynn Edens of Little Creek Farm/Accoyo America/Snowmass Alpacas (LaCFAASA!) for including us yet again in her superb event coming up later this month in North Salem, NY! On the off-chance that you, my dear reader, are either a non-alpaca person (in which case, welcome to a wee slice of our world), or are an alpaca person that has been living under a rock, the Parade of Champions sale has for many years now quite simply made itself into the most vital privately run alpaca event on the calendar. While the center piece of the weekend is obviously the alpaca auction itself, which takes place on Saturday, the POC, in it’s current east-coast iteration at least, has always included speakers, seminars, or panels — to say nothing of the cooking competitions — as well. Up until now, the POC has been the one event where you could count on there being adult, keeping-it-real conversations pertaining to the greater questions of advancing the US alpaca industry. For that alone, it has always been worth the trip. But then of course, there are also the 40 to 50 world-class alpacas that are offered for sale each year!

This year, we are happy to be consigning two more lovely females ourselves: one brown juvenile, CCNF Moonglow, and one beige yearling, CCNF Rosalva. I won’t blab on about them in great detail here, that is after all what their long-form descriptions on our OpenHerd listings are for (you can click the links above or find those here and here)! As with any auction, it of course behooves consignors, particularly of a signature event such as the POC, to put up something of unique value and that is again what we have done. While magnificent specimens in their own rights, both of our females also come from dynamic family lines within our 22 year-strong breeding program. And while we would be thrilled to see them each go and work in someone else’s herd, there is conversely no denying that we know exactly how we will breed them if there should be a misunderstanding (cough) of what exactly is on offer.
