Jen and CCNF Magisteria, our Brown Female Champion at the NAAS who also just happens to be consigned to the upcoming Parade of Champions Auction in June!

So here are the most relevant of our results from the NAAS/NAE double show which took place the weekend after Easter. As with the previous 16 editions of the North American, the event was again held at the Eastern States Exposition Center in western Massachusetts, just a short 2 hour drive straight down I-91 for us. Not home court per se but it almost has that feel after that many years of attending (for those that weren’t around yet, we were also brain-dead enough to be co-organizers of the NAAS thorough its first 10 years of existence).

Perhaps first and foremost I would be remiss if I failed to publicly acknowledge Lynn Edens, Susanne Bienenstock, and Jody Hatch for the amazing job they did putting on the Princess Bride-themed cocktail party for us on Saturday night. Organized silliness is good for the soul, thank you all so much! After greedily hoarding (is that redundant?) their amazing organizational skills two Aprils in a row now, we are hoping to attend another LCF-organized wine & cheese soiree at someone else’s show booth in 2019!

Beyond that, there was not whole lot to tell about the weekend in general that I didn’t cover in the previous blog post, other than to say that 2+ weeks after the fact, I still feel resentful in that slightly curmudgeonly, middle-aged Yankee way towards the pack of teenage cheerleaders (my better half correctly pointing out in recent days that they were neither as young nor as innocent as I had previously given them credit for) that kept us both tossing and turning until the wee hours every night that the miscreants held court. Suffice it to say that when my phone’s alarm went off around 5 AM on the last day of the show — a mere couple of hours after they finally ~~shut the hell up~~ lost steam next door — I just might have let it drone on at full volume for a few seconds longer than was strictly necessary. I also let our door close rather loudly as we exited our hotel room for the last time. #sorrynotsorry

None of which is a worthy complaint: the shows, as the results below demonstrate pretty clearly, were a resounding success for us and were a nice way for new members of the 2018 show team to open their accounts! Futurity results to follow in the next few days…
