Don’t mess with Porky!

So I woke up this morning and guffawed when I realized that I could add something new to the description we have in our sales materials for our young female, Jabulani. It seems that in addition to her many other positive traits she also enjoys kicking the sh!t out of porcupines! That old line you use when you get a black eye from something stupid, “well you ought to see the OTHER guy!” certainly came to mind though. In the end Jen and her hemostat spent the better part of an hour yesterday afternoon plucking 107 quills from poor Jabu’s front legs. Somewhere on Mt. Ascutney is a porcupine who is carrying a lighter load and will undoubtedly think twice before passing into our juvi female paddock ever again. Just the same, I think we’ll call that one a draw.
