First Look: CCNF Dreadnought’s Alexis – Lot #33 at the 2022 Futurity Sale!

Last but certainly not least for us at the upcoming Futurity Sale in Kansas City is CCNF Dreadnought’s Alexis, coming in the sale order at Lot #33!

Maternally speaking — and in case you haven’t tuned into this yet: that maternal mojo is something that is emphasized here at CCNF quite a lot, right down to the way we name our alpacas — Alexis comes out of a line we originally acquired some years back at auction. We were attracted by the opportunity to add the varied genetics of her dam, Aletta, who carried some names (namely Titan and Timoteo) in her pedigree not yet present in our breeding program at the time. Funnily enough, of course, that maternal line has come to work best with the nexus of the Matrix Majesty and Elixir, as demonstrated not just by Alexis herself but also her older brother, CCNF Axel (he being a straight Elixir kid, as opposed to a Dreadnought) and her full kid sister, CCNF Alma, whose development we’re watching closely.

Paternally, Alexis carries with her the dual-powered juju of both the Elixir line (Dreadnought being an Elixir son) and the powerful stuff that flows from Matrix Majesty again (a generation further back on this side) crossed with the PPPeruvian Pachelbel line to produce Dreadnought’s potent Majesty/SuperNova-cross dam, CCNF Prima Majesty. We won’t belabor the point anymore but suffice it to say, animals of this quality don’t just happen by throwing genetic jello at the wall and seeing what will stick: this tremendous young female was conceived very intentionally.
