North American Alpaca Show

So as some of you may know Jen and I (with a strong emphasis on Jen) have been one of three groups of people that have together helped to run the North American Alpaca Show since its inception in 2002. Our partners in crime over that time have been Kevin O’Leary and Deb Shields of Riverview Alpacas and Bob and Louise Hebeler of Acorn Alpaca Ranch. The 2011 edition of the show, its 10th, will open its online registration tomorrow, 1/15, as it traditionally has for many years.

Though I am of course extremely biased given our involvement, over the years I’ve always felt that the NAAS (much like the Empire show in Syracuse) manages to be an extremely competitive weekend while also having a fairly relaxed vibe. It’s always been a “big” show we were comfortable encouraging first time exhibitors to attend. If you’ve been before you already know what I’m talking about. If you haven’t been to the show before and are still deciding what spring shows you’re going to attend, I encourage one and all to give the NAAS a try. You won’t be disappointed!
