Punchy…

Well I hadn’t intended to go almost a week without posting anything here but then life and the NAAS kind of took over. After unloading the trailer last night at the Main Barn, we managed to actually walk/stumble through the door here at home around 8:15 or so. Not bad considering that as late as 4 yesterday afternoon we were still shuttling critters to and from the show rings and we hadn’t even started taking any of our displays down or packed anything into the trailer for the ride back to VT yet.

Suffice it so say that even though packing everything up at the end of a show is always a drag, we came home yesterday tired but very, very happy. And it wasn’t just because of the new Indian restaurant (Pintu’s Indian Palace, check it out) we’d discovered in West Springfield (full disclosure though: 22 oz. Taj Mahal beers and dinner with friends covers a whole heck of a lot). The 30 alpacas in our show string also seemed relieved to be walking back into their own barn last night and it’s safe to say that we all — or at least the 4 humans in the Lutz clan — woke up this morning with that slightly groggy feeling that only comes with a good night’s rest on your home turf. More details of the weekend’s shenanigans to come…

  1. Congrats on a great show! Every time we walked past your display, the pile of ribbons got bigger!
