Snowmass Matrix Majesty Now Closed + Herdsires for Helping
I suppose that headline rather covers it, but just in case: Snowmass Matrix Majesty, our all-world Herdsire and 2013 & 2014 Futurity Herdsire of the Year is now, as of January 2017, closed for further outside stud service. The sire of countless Champions here at Cas-Cad-Nac Farm, his sons CCNF Centurion and CCNF Magistrate, among others, have joined him in our stud barn (they each now have crias on the ground themselves) and remain open for outside stud service. In addition to those two paternal brothers, our newly minted Champion, CCNF Dreadnought, who is both Majesty’s grandson as well as one of the first Majesty/Elixir crosses to reach breeding age, should begin working in the upcoming 2017 season and once he achieves a live pregnancy, he will likewise be offered to customers for outside service.
So why now? Though we had been thinking of closing the old man down for a while now, the invitation to participate in the upcoming Herdsires for Helping auction to benefit the Evans family was really the impetus to pull the trigger. You can read about all of that here. Great cause aside, the awesome people behind that effort have organized a pretty incredible lineup of Herdsire breedings to auction off and we will be bidding for sure. You can check out the auction preview here.
