Two big wins and a look ahead to the future

So that whole trophyless-at-the-Futurity thing I talked about a few weeks ago? As of this morning it’s not really true any more. We are thrilled to announce that our co owned Herdsires, Snowmass Elite Legend (owned with Snowmass Alpacas and Tripping Gnome Farm) and Snowmass Matrix Majesty (owned with Snowmass Alpacas) were just awarded the 2011 Futurity Herdsire of the Year and Reserve Herdsire of the Year awards respectively: Elite Legend in the white/light category and Matrix Majesty in the dark category.

It needs to be said up front that our animals at the Futurity had nothing to do with these accolades, all of that credit lies with our partners from Idaho. Our first EL crias ever here at CCNF are after all not due for another couple of months. Majesty for his part, just arrived here a little over a month ago and I could swear has been looking longingly uphill towards the Arena.

Those trophies, and more importantly the consistent results they represent, do obviously bode extremely well for the future though. The possibilities that open up by crossing those two Herdsires in with the the genetics of Archangel, King of the Ladies, Precocious, Solano, Ring of Fire, Cameron, Messiah, Legacy Gold, I-Star, and Andean Bronze (call them the starting 10 if you will) are, well, interesting to say the least.
